Never happened to me.
I don’t know that feel.
I don’t think it’s all that ‘cool’ to talk about video games in real life in general. I don’t play video games to be cool.
was it ever not cool? Ya maybe reach was a let down but it was still cool
know exactly how you feel. Halo went from EPIC to nothing. Nobody talked about Halo in my school because nobody played it and those who had played it stayed silent. I didn’t mind though just didn’t mention it. There were some people who did talk about Halo so I just talked with them if I wanted too.
The only way Halo can be mainstream again is if it:
- Takes on CoD and wins
- Takes on CoD and wins
- Is as revolutionary as Halo CE was.
Slim chances, but you never know.
Halo is still cool.
343i started working on Halo back in 09, bungie did them a favor with reach, that being good enough, but not too good. Bungie got us used to loadouts and other features 343i planned to put into halo4, so it wouldnt be met with too much resistance from the fans.
So it was win/win for all involved, bungie breaks free from the giant to make games they want to make, 343i comes out with halo4(which is going to be AWESOME!) like white knights saving the day.
I know what you mean A lot of my friends That used to love Halo know play COD .I also have a few friends that are PS3 fanboys and COD is there favorite game .We debate all the time wich game is better [I always win] But still some that loved Halo dont like it much no more . When they are talking COD and BF I mention Halo and get that look . I tell them though Halo 4 will be better then any of those games .I can say though when they come back to Halo I will be one of the ones who stayed loyal to the Franchise .
I think Halo 4 will be badass, no matter what. The reason CoD is cooler to teens is because Halo is looked at by some to be too childish and cartoony compared to CoD. It takes a mature person to realize how “adult” and “competitive” Halo really is. Just saying.

Yeah and that’s exactly why Halo needs to change if it wants to become big again. Gaming used to be for teens and adults now it’s for 10 year old -yoinks!- who have avocados for brains.
Or perhaps Halo shouldn’t change and just keep the more mature gamers?

Thats because while all the great features of CE were ditched the one thing that remained was the 2001 color scheme.
Halo needs more realistic colors, realistic gore since it is afterall a M rated war game, and Halo CEs fast pacedkill times of the 3sk pistol, freeze plasma rifle, high ROF sniper, and long range shotgun.
If these things don’t happen halo will never go back to its former glory and will just be called a “nerd game”.

I meant realistic colors like cod and gore like gears. My mistake.
Also eye candy like Mai from King of Fighters Via Cortana would go a long way, but I know thats barking up the wrong tree for many halo waypoint ppl

So apparently that means I’m playing a nerd game… What a dumb thing to say… If you read at all then you would know that they’re speeding up the game and the graphics and coloring look a lot better.

Nothing is or isnt, only thinking makes it so. And many do say halo is nerdy.
What did I say that was dumb that halo needs more realistic colors, gore, and Halo CE like fast kill times?
343i is doing a good job on the color scheme and kill time, but more gore would be appreciated. Rockets should do what rockets really do …blow people up not just comically toss a body around like a rag doll. Snipers should blow holes into people not just make them fall over.
also kill times are yet to be seen…but they look promising
