The title says: āMaster Chief faces his thoughest adversary yet-the creator of the Halo ringsā, but I donāt think we will fight them. Adversary can mean anythingā¦
Wow, thatās something Iām really looking forward to. I just hope they stock them in the stores that I live right near to, Iāve only really ever seen the UK xbox magazine, āXbox Worldā.
I made a thread here a while ago that was locked for using a magazine scan. It was about this exact same thing, I will gladly help you keep this thread going but you need to make sure you post no image links!

I posted the link to my old thread somewhere up there ^^

In short, pretty much every single enemy we have fought is an adversary. So yes, it can be anything.
> LOL @ adversary can mean anything. No, it really canāt.
Okay, I will exlain it to you then.
You donāt have to fight an adversary with weapons or fists. An adversary can mean a political adversary or a shool-rival for example. You can face them without having to fight them. Well, in some ways you will fight them, because you want to be the better one, but you donāt need physical power to do thisā¦

Except Halo 4 is a first person shooter, not an hour long debate with the Forerunner over the future of the galaxy and who has the right to control the Halo rings.

So a FPS game automatically means, that you will shoot at all moving targets?
Well you obviously didnāt play much FPS games then.

Donāt put words in my mouth.
In this case, itās painfully obvious that adversary simply means āenemyā, or āopponentā if you will. What do we do to enemies in first person shooters? We shoot and kill them. We donāt sit down with cups of tea and joyfully debate about the universe. I can give a huge list of games that demonstrate this.
