"XBOX Voice Ban" + Castle DLC not working

Hi guys.

I just started Halo 4 for my second session for today an got a message saying “You are banned from Halo 4 voice chat”.

Why would this happen? I have not even used the voice chat within the last few weeks, I have not even connected my headset to the XBOX controller!

I have no idea what I could have done wrong?

Can this have anything to do with Kinect? It’s connected to the XBOX and obviously acts as a microphone on default. Although I have not seen it doing anything (like transmitting voice) in the game.

I really hope someone around here has an idea what is going on, because I clearly have no clue. Last thing that I want to happen is getting permabanned from XBOX Live and Halo because of Kinect…

Ok, thank you. The In-game message referred me to a page, which referred me to this subforum.

So I thought I would have to open a thread regarding this.

Maybe the link on the page you get referred to Ingame should be changed, so that you get referred to the right thread. :slight_smile:

I would say for the voice ban its begause of the Kinect , so people are probubly muting you because of background noise. someone else can help you better, but i believe that you can go to settings and can turn this off ,

What’s up with everyone having this “voice ban” issue? This is the second or third thread I’ve seen today concerning this issue.
