I (like many others) have not received my code despite pre-ordering before the cut-off date. Since Xbox support seems to have no idea what’s going on with this issue. Is there a next step other than waiting and hoping? I’d love to check this early release out.
Just got off with support myself 2 different times. Seemed like they were going to help but then ultimately had no idea what to do and said that their coworkers were saying the 7-10 day thing.

Yeah, I’ve tried a bunch of different avenues to contact them and a few have seemed to try and then nothing. It’s quite frustrating all-in-all.
i also tried it and have show them the link to the message from 343 community manager but they said i should wait for the code
Update, Xbox Support just required some brute dedication. After multiple chats, I finally got connected with a manager that had a code directly e-mailed to me. I am installing now. Keep at it people, there is hope!
Yeah I’ve talked with support 4 times now as politely and calmly as possible. They’ve been as helpful as hitting my head against a wall that asks you if your computer is on.
Good to hear there’s a support staff member with some brains out there though OP
Go through the chat support option on the main Microsoft Windows store website. Far more friendlier it seems. They were able to issue me my token directly to my email on the first try after checking through on my pre-order.
Damn OP you inspired me to try Xbox support again, and I’m so glad I did. Took 6 minutes from “Hi, thanks for contacting Microsoft support” to having a code in my email inbox. ‘Jeremy T’, you are a true hero in my eyes

How?? Xbox support ?
While it may be frustrating if it helps this definitive edition is exactly like Halo Wars 1 except with maybe a bit better graphics. You aren’t missing much.

Yes they can email you the code directly
Guys, there is one way you can immediately get the code. If you try to contact Microsoft HK customer service, 9 out of 10 the staff will arrange a application for you a code via a special channel, you will get your code in less than 5 minutes. But there is only one slightest problem, I’m not sure wheither they speak English or not, cause I used Chinese to communicate, but worth a shot, isn’t it?

It’s not the only way. I got my code just by going through the chat box support on the MS support page for North America a few hours ago.
We greatly appreciate you giving us heads up on this forum which is something that we are willing to clarify. We cannot speak in behalf of third party developer website details however rest assured that your pre-order freebies are still within the expected timeframe.
