Advertised release date: Dec 8.
Retailer (Best Buy) release time: 1:00a ET.
Xbox store features Halo Infinite campaign on Game Pass: “Play Now”.
As of Dec 8, 7:00a ET: Halo game > Campaign > still “Preorder” > opens prompt to purchase game for retail price. :man_facepalming:t2:

MP released early, Campaign Co-op was delayed into late spring 2022, so Campaign Solo was advertised as the exclusive reason to gather around Dec 8. Who accidentally slept in at the Xbox/343i office last night?

Not playable fullstop

Even on disc you can’t install campaign yet.

Quite honestly the worst launch in the history of halo.

Can’t help but agree: from both the gamer and marketer perspectives, it’s been one mis-/under-communication after another. Not sure whose oversight it was to fail to have the campaign actually ready to play after spotlighting its standalone release 3 weeks following the MP beta.
