Since I have my Xbox series x I haven’t had any Problems whatsoever. But for some reason since yesterday playing halo 3 (master chief collection) the game is suddenly crashing frequently.
this happens in multiplayer, haven’t tested the campaign yet.
The game freezes and puts me back onto my Home Screen a few moments later.
Any advice?
I’ve reported this recently on halo support (with video proof) and was answered, it’s starting to happen more frequently on my series X as well and it’s always in halo 3 idk if this is because of the update on the 15th with the halo online stuff.
It also temporarily lags up my entire Xbox home and I’ve restarted the game only for it to freeze at the main menu press start screen so I make sure I turn it off and on again.

Also on series x and up until yesterday played mcc multiplayer quite often. It is freezing as soon as I launch mcc in the menu, will say I’m offline as well. Then freeze and kick me home. It has also shut off my xbox completely. Is there a fix for this?
This has been happening to me recently too on the series x, about every three games so far on btb brings me to a frozen screen . This is for halo 3 from what I’ve seen.
I just made a post on this too, Im on the OG xbox one. And loaded up MCC for the first time in forever (after a 100+gb update). I started playing H3 multiplayer since h2 wasnt in rotation, and in about a 6hr gaming session game froze/crashed twice. It didnt bring me back to loading screen tho, i had to dashboard quit the first time and the second crash, crashed my entire xbox. Both times it started right back up tho. Im more annoyed by the bans i got afterwards.

This has been happening to me too. I cannot make it past the menus today to even begin a game. In fact, it usually bounces me from the MCC menu that I am on and right back to the Xbox Series X home screen.
Since other people are having this issue too, I assume that there isn’t anything wrong with my console.
I was in the middle of a ranked slayer and the game frozed on me i restarted the game and i was banned and deranked FIX THE GAME
Yep, recently started playing MCC again because of that infinite hype and it’s frozen about 4-5 times mid game, always in Halo 3, come back and I’m banned for 10 minutes.
So damn annoying getting banned for their game not working properly, wish they’d get rid of it at this point honestly. I hate it when people rage quit too, but constantly getting banned for their game not running properly is beyond annoying, so unless they can differentiate between peoples games freezing and crashing and people actually going to the menu and pressing “leave match” I might put this down.
Please fix your game or banning system 343. It ain’t my system failing consistently.
I just experienced this tonight after finally getting my hands on the series x. Can’t be sure if it’s the series x or all Xbox systems that this bug is prominent because last time I played before the series x was when Reach launched.
Either way, this better get fix quick so that can enjoy the game once again and ride on with the hype train.
We’ve been experiencing this bug for months.
It’s only Halo 3 MP it seems to affects. Campaigns and other MP do not have it. It will crash us out, and usually if one crashes out, more will follow. And you have to quit the game quick or else it shuts down your xbox. We’re all on xbox one s, installed on to internal HDD. It can happen several times a night too. Sometimes the bans get so bad we have to jump over to campaign for the rest of the night.
Just happened to me on a Xbox One X halo 3 swat game screen froze just as match started and after a minute of being frozen xbox shut itself off.
