Note: This is not an issue on non-arena playlists. This bug only occurs in arena for me.
I am unable to communicate with my teammates in game chat. I can’t hear them and they can’t hear me. When I tap the “select button” on my controller. I can only see my own microphone next to my nameplate. It’s as if my audio settings are forced to “Disabled” in arena.
This has been a problem for me for MONTHS, but now I’m finally so fed up I had to login to this website just to rant. Interestingly, my arena game chat worked in about 50% of games before this recent pointless “hotfix” (on Jan 20 I think). But now my game chat in arena works 0% of the time, almost as if the hotfix made it worse.
I’ve always been a loyal competitive halo player (50’s in H3, Onyx/Champion in H5 awhile back, Onyx in Infinite)
but I’m over it, can’t even play this game until this gets fixed
And before you ask:
- My settings are set to “Open Mic”
- My Profile Privacy Settings is all Open
- My controller is updated
- I uninstalled-reinstalled this game
- Hard Reseted my xbox
