I didn’t see anything mentioned, but don’t want to assume. Do the upcoming MCC releases come for xbox players too?
Absolute love for 343 and their dedication to MCC. So happy to keep seeing things added I wouldn’t even expect. MCC has remained my number 1 game for a while now, especially with flood firefight! Can’t wait to see these ideas actualized and released!
Ps, (I understand this is something else entirely). Do SPV3 or Cursed HaloCE 2 have a chance to see the light of day on xbox somehow? Would be good to know as I’d love to play with friends and want to know if investing in a decent PC is a good idea
Regardless, can’t wait to get into what’s coming, thank you 343!

It would be really cool (and likely unrealistic) if 343 could implement mod support on xbox via steam workshop when that launches. Modding has typically been a PC benefit though and I don’t see it happening. I hope to be proven wrong.

Most likely none of what was mentioned in the blog will come to Xbox. The assets are for modders to play with and refine. The maps seem like the most likely candidates should anything come and possibly the flamethrower animations, but other than that you will probably enjoy it more on PC.
It’s mentioned in the article that they can’t promise the Halo 2 Earthcity demo will come to consoles.
Things are probably made more complicated by the extra approval process that the new content would have to go through, and how the new campaign levels might be un-optimized in such a way that the base Xbox One would choke on them, even if Series X powers through them just fine.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see consoles get a few of the simpler bits and pieces though, like the skins

Fat chance. My advice: go get a cheap used PC for mod support. I haven’t upgraded my stuff in almost six years because it still does everything I want it to do and I have my Series X to spend most of my time on. You don’t have to restrict yourself to a single platform; branch out.
I’m hoping they could look to Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition for at least some inspiration. They had an in-menu option where you could turn out mods and it would give you a warning that it would disable achievements. This is with the game already booted, not the way where you have select either turning on/off anti cheat before starting the game.
