Xbox Play Anywhere?

I was wondering if Infinite will be Play Anywhere. I just want to buy it on PC then be able to play it on xbox when i have people over without having to buy a second copy of the game.

It hasn’t been confirmed if it is a Play Anywhere title or not. The multiplayer will be F2P though so at least you can play that.

While we don’t have confirmation, with Microsoft putting emphasis on the quality of life aspects of their services and the MCC looking at crossplay, I’m pretty sure it’s safe to assume Infinite will be Play Anywhere.

Atleast the Amazon listing shows that it is a XBOX exclusive and not a play anywhere title which is a bummer.

I hope it will.

It is not an Xbox Exclusive, as the game has a Steam listing as well. Also, why wouldn’t it be Play Anywhere? All other recent Xbox Game Studios games are Xbox Play Anywhere, so why not this one?

It’s not confirmed, but this is an Xbox Game Studios title so it is 99% likely

My understanding was that anything on Game Pass (ie Infinite) was accessible under Play Anywhere, provided you are an Ultimate member.

Highly likely for campaign I would say.

Not sure if anyone will reply to this, but if I pre order infinite on the Microsoft store now then when it has been confirmed that it will be an Xbox play anywhere game will I still be able to play it on my xbox? Or will I have to buy it again?
