Further than minor graphics improvements on a 1080p screen, does this game benefit in any way of the Xbox one X power? Like no input lag or something like that
Apart from graphical improvements (more detailed lighting, textures, anti-aliasing), the game doesn’t change at all except for faster loading times.
Also, you shouldn’t be getting any noticeable input lag on the standard xbox one console with Halo Wars 2. You may want to check your screen settings on a gaming mode.

Not this input lag… He mean in genral the input lag in Halo Wars 2. Mid+Late Game.

I hope the X1X version fixes that. I hate when its the heat of battle and there’s 5 ultimate units battling each other and it just freezes…
