Xbox one x 60fps/120

good morning the beta of halo is really nice I don’t understand, however, why put at 30 FPS on Xbox one x when it is clear that the console holds 60 and if you want to set the console in 2k it also holds 120hz if only used by those who play the game

It’s at 30fps so it can run the game, don’t forget when campaign comes out it has day/night cycle etc and there is a huge amount of strain on last gen consoles. If it was put up to 60fps I doubt xbox one’s could handle it.

the game is cross gen and the xbox one x has already shown that it can handle 60fps in other games without any problem, i don’t see why it can’t do it it’s just a matter of set-up if you want it you could very well, since if you want the console set to 2k supports 120hz

It would be interesting to see how it runs at 60fps if they unlocked it, maybe it is just something technical about it like the engine they using. 343 wouldn’t lock it at 30fps unless there was a reason for it, no doubt they would of tested this out already

I think they limited themselves to blocking the framrate because of the Xbox one s but in this way they limit those who have one x who still remains an excellent machine, honestly I, who still do not have x series, bothers me a little knowing that in any case the machine I own it is not exploited properly

Found this on ign - Thinking about it, there are now bots in halo multiplayer so it will use significantly more cpu power

When Halo Infinite was originally revealed last year, developer 343 Industries announced that it was targeting a smooth 60fps experience on all platforms, including the Xbox One. This meant that 343 could only improve the visuals so much within the 16.6 millisecond window, and cutting down on crucial CPU-intensive features like AI. This posed a big challenge, as the CPU in the Xbox One consoles (as well as PS4) was notoriously underpowered, even when the consoles were released. Halo 5 was the first game in the franchise to target 60fps on consoles, but its design aspirations, being a more linear game, meant that developers could fine-tune its visuals as much as it wanted to perfection. This was a change of pace from previous Halo games, all of which ran at 30fps on consoles, which wasn’t a bad thing by itself.

the bots are also on halo 5 in the games against the covenants if I am not mistaken now I do not remember the mode, for me they did not want to push too much because of one s, I hope they unlock the 60 at least I do not say the 120 but at least i 60 or it will be a nice castration against those with a higher frame rate
