I’ve planned to buy Mc Hololens for a long time… But now when i se what the price might be at it doesnt really feel worth it anymore…
It could be at 1500$ wich is a really high amount of money, I could buy both a Xbox One with Halo Mcc, 5 and A new TV…
So im asking you guys.
Xbox One with Halo.
OR
Mircrosoft Hololens.
For some of you this will probably be a really stupid random question… But i just wanna know what you guys think…
Hololens is part of the first wave of very new technology, initially built with developers and professional applications in mind. It requires all applications to be built from the ground up for the specific technology, and the first-gen hardware will is likely to be weak for any real processing heavy applications. The first version available for purchase will have no real applications, only experimental development projects. In other words, it’s really the kind of device that if you have any doubts whether you should buy it or not, then you probably shouldn’t.
Moreover, any consumer version is at least three years away, and unless you really want to be at the leading edge of technology, nothing before, at least, the third-gen consumer version is even worth considering. So: buy the Xbox One. If it’s really Xbox One or Hololens, choose Xbox One. Xbox One is here now. Augmented reality is something you should give at least 3 to 5 years before you even start considering it.
