Here’s my unique scenario.
What I have
r6200v2 router
Three Xbox 360s - connecting over wifi
One Xbox One - wired
Two Xbox Ones - connecting over wifi
Halo Reach - with network set to Local = LAN
Xbox Live works fine on all systems.
The Xbox 360 can see and join each other and the wired Xbox One.
The wifi Xbox ones can see everyone, but can join no one. They see that NAT is open, but they say they don’t know why they cannot join the lan party.
I took one wireless Xbox One, connected it to a new wired connection, it was now able to join anyone.
Only Xbox One over wifi is the problem. Xbox 360 over wifi, and wired Xbox one work fine.
Where is the wifi setting that will alow this to happen over wifi as well?
That’s a nice setup you have there, but what exactly are you asking?
I have 2 Xbox ones and 2 360’s I’m having the exact problem.wired Xbox one connects to one wired 360 and one wifi 360 but will not connect to wifi Xbox one!
Have you come up with a solution for this? Thanks

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here.
I did a Halo LAN combining 2 xbox ones and 2x360’s to play 16 player Reach. I think I set them all to local and it worked fine, just remember that the 2 xbox one’s need to be differently connected. So one of them wired, the other over wifi.
I’m doing it again next week so I can make a post about it if you want?
Virtual Kumite 20 results
So we held a tournament this weekend. We had 4 xbox 360s and 4 xbox ones.
We played Halo 3 and Halo Reach.
We had 13 players.
One 360 was connected, but never used.
We had a netgear R6200v2 router, it connected to a Verizon router turned into a hub/access point. From there it connected to two other routers turned into a hub/access points. One system was connected to the router, one system was wired to the first hub. the other six were connected to the secondary hubs.
We played Halo 3 first. We played 8 matches.
There were a few times during the games that systems connected to one of the secondary hubs would get lag. Their screens would be frozen for up to 10 seconds while the rest of us continued to play.
We then played Halo Reach. We played 8 matches.
During 2 matches the Xbox One console where the games were started from, and which had three players, then two players, experienced lag, and they we were separated from the rest of the group and dropped into a local match until it’s conclusion. This console was different from the ones experiencing problems during Halo 3 play.
That’s my report. I am uncertain our course of action for the next tournament. I am leaning towards going with just 4 Xbox ones and dealing with menu issues we encounter in the Master Chief Collection, as they don’t directly influence match play.

why not just use 4 copies of Halo 3 instead of MCC since it’s backwards compatible? also be careful with reviving old posts my friend. the moderators almost always frown upon that.
Is it really frowned upon reviving old posts?
Because it is again time for Virtual Kumite 21!
Usually a yearly event in November!
This year we will try MCC again over 5 Xbox One consoles and an old 48 port switch I picked up at a pawn shop.
Eager to test the newly updated LAN support.
But it is a lot of work gathering everything in the basement, so the testing will begin late October.
