Xbox One vs my sound system.

I got this really nice and expensive Sound system that playes sound from my Xbox and from my MP3. The problem is that is gets the sound of the Xbox from the composite cables, or the red, blue, and yellow thingies. my HDMI goes into my tv, and the AV cables go into the sound system. Now that the new Xbox no longer uses AV. what do i do now? Are their any HDMI splitter or something like that? If some one could help me out i would be very thankful.

OP, here’s my question for you:

Does your new fangled sound system have optical audio input/output? It should look something like this

I ask this mostly because after looking at the photo of the Xbox One I notice that there is an Optical Audio port, which most likely if your sound system has optical audio ports, then you shouldn’t have any issue.

But if your sound system doesn’t have optical audio ports, then no worries, there’s converters that you can buy to convert optical to Composite.

I’m hoping that I don’t need to get this, mostly because my sound system and computer don’t have optical audio inputs, but my computer does have optical audio output.

I hope this helps you.

As weird stealth said, if your sound system has optical input, you’ll be in luck! Optical audio converters also exist, so all is not lost!

Also, you may want to be careful when you’re looking for converters. Composite cables are the yellow, red, and white cables (carrying video, left audio, and right audio channels respectively), while component cables are the red, green, and blue cables (which only carry various video data).
