Personally I think this is going to be pretty cool. And I like what MS has done with their streaming functions, I’d say it’s a great compromise with Halo being on pc with you still having to own an Xbox One.

The feature seems a bit pointless to me. After all, the game is still played on Xbox, so: you still need an Xbox One, all the processing is done on the Xbox so no improved graphics, no keyboard and mouse controls.
I mean, the benefit of other in-home streaming services like Steam in-home streaming is that you can stream games from a powerful PC somewhere else in your house to a small, cheap box in the living room. That way you can game in your living room, while doing everything else in the computer room. And you still get all the flexibility of playing on a PC which you already own anyway.
If you own an Xbox One, why wouldn’t you already have it in the living room? You’ve probably already put your Xbox where you feel the most comfortable playing games, so there’s no reason you really need to be able to stream it somewhere else.
I don’t think this is a compromise at all for playing Halo on PC. It’s essentially the same as having a very long HDMI cable running from an Xbox One in one room to a TV in another. You still don’t get better graphics, you still don’t get to play with a mouse and a keyboard, and you still have to have an Xbox One.
