We wanted to consolidate this issue down to one main thread where people could easily view the information we’d like relayed back to us in order to assist in getting this issue resolved. All future and past threads regarding this issue will be locked and closed so we can keep the information in one central area. Please answer the following if you are experiencing crash issues on your Xbox One Spartan Assault game:
What mission were you playing?
What happened right before it crashed?
Did it freeze or return you to the dashboard?
Has it happened again since your initial report?
Are you currently unable to complete a mission because of this?
-I was on Operation Umbra A-5 (The last stand).
-The game would freeze then go to the dashboard sometimes and other times just freeze and restart from the intro of the game.
-It has happened 5 times since I started the game. From Act-I, Mission-1 to half way through act II on various missions in between but most often on the mission stated in the previous point.
I did end up completing it but it took multiple tries because of the crashes.
Happened during mission F-5 twice yesterday. It wasn’t the first time, several missions crashed the days before that.
Most of the time it takes me back to the dashboard then start the game.
It also happened once when I paused the game during mission F-5.
Oh and please, could you update the drone so we don’t get damage from it when it explodes? This thing keeps following me while enemies are nearby and then explodes resulting in a dramatic death and annoying game over.
I was playing mission 3 in operation c. After choosing my loadout, it begins to load the mission then kicks me back to the dashboard. I haven’t been able to complete the mission, or any other afterward.
What happened right before it crashed? the most resent was meleeing a elite

Are you currently unable to complete a mission because of this? yes especially when it occurs at the end of a mission. resulting in the loss of all gained xp
Literally just bought the game today. Played through the tutorial fine. Booted up the first mission and killed some grunts and a couple of elites then BOOM. I got forced back to the dashboard just like that.
I have yet to try it again since it’s late here. I’ll try again in the morning and update this post.
SO I’ve been trying to play operation c, mission 3 for the longest time. I wasn’t able to do until I downloaded my profile to my brother’s Xbox One, synced my Spartan Assault data from the cloud. It worked perfectly fine then. I completed the mission. I’m going to try and replay the same mission on MY Xbox One after syncing the data again. Maybe it’ll fix mine? Hope this helps you guys in getting a patch.
I just wanted to throw out the possibility that this is not a Spartan Assault bug but an Xbox One bug - I was thrown to the dashboard 3 very separate random times while playing Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and once while playing Spartan Assault. It’s very uncommon for me on either game.

I can verify that this as happened to me, too, on other games as well as Spartan Assault. My one fix that has worked so far is putting the XboxOne on energy saving mode.
This has helped performance in all my games, and I very rarely get dashboarded.
Heres my problem with the game i load up game, i play the 1st level use 50CR to get score boost on and end the level fine bonus added gold star in the bag. Go to the next level put score boost on and get to the end of the level, then it crashes and kicks me back to the XBOX one home screen.
Where i then go back into the game it then has to reload and when i start it again i have lost my 50CR and have lost out on 400CR which is annoying as it has cost me cash for these.
Does not matter what level iam on it always seems to happen after i get to the end of the 2nd level i play on. But i have been playing from A and im now at C and its always happening like this and costing me CR i have paid for.
Also would like to add i did play another game after it kicked me off for a 2nd time and never had the same problem of putting me back to the dashboard on XBOX 1. SO no issues with my other games.

•Are you currently unable to complete a mission because of this? Yes i cant not finish the level becuse of it. As i have to load the game back up and i have lost CR. I HAVE PURCHASED WITH MY OWN CASH 400CR SO FAR NOT HAPPY.
I just downloaded the game on Xbox 360 and it crashes every time I get to chose wether to play on Hard drive or Cloud. I only see the white box and short time later the music stop playing too. The very first time the game crashed was when I was in the Main Menu, the game suddenly crashes, even my Xbox froze entirly Can’t there be an update to this soon, I mean it has been on One for longer and still no fix to this?
-I quit somewhere in in late operation D to early operation E to go eat lunch. When came back and tried to start the game, I wasn’t playing any mission at all, I was in the storage selection screen
-What happened before the game crashed is I was watching the intro of developers, etc. and pressed star as prompted to access main menu.
-At this point the game freezes, I get a white screen, the music stops then restarts.
-This is my initial report, it has happened every time except for the first time I started the game.
-Not only am I not able to complete a mission, I am unable to play the game because of this problem.
I am enjoying this game a lot so far, too bad there is a bug preventing me from playing the rest.
Hey guys in having same problem just downloaded it today on the 360 and at first worked fine loaded up and when got to main menu the distinguished medal achievement popped up but none of the others which thought was wierd so turned it off after couldn’t find anyone to join co op mode now just tried playing it couple times says cant play then select it again it loads up but when i press start and it asks me if im using storage or cloud and it just completely freezes. Cant go back to dashboard or nothing have to keep waiting it on and off on the console im in uk by the way

I just opened the game and was at the main screen where it says, press start. I pressed start it brought up a blank box (where I assume it will ask where I want to have my save file) only it freezes right there. The sound stops working and it wont do anything at all.

Freeze, my controller didnt work at all. I had to manually turn off my 360 and even then, I had to press the turn off button twice before it finally did. Kinda made me worried.

I tried it three times and it happened that way all those times. I just deleted the game and I am re-downloading it right now.

I cant even start the game at all.
