Hi I heard from a number of my friends that Halo 5 will be streaming on 4K on the Xbox one x. But my Xbox is Xbox one s so I was wondering if my Xbox will still be able to play halo 5 at full feature.(I have Gold)
Have you checked the details on the Xbox website? That’s a pretty great first place to look for potential answers to your question. Anyway, I know the Xbox One S supports the 4K playback of videos, but I’m not sure if it supports 4K games.

It does not play games in 4k. The X is the only option there.

As far as I’m aware you should be able to play Halo 5 fine but doubt the textures will look as good on Xbox One S, I’m already ready to download them when there ready and I’m on Xbox One S too so it should work fine, hopefully be doing same when I get Scorpio. Not sure why they said streaming…when it’s download only assets. Plus the other difference you might get with downloading 4k assets is the load times might be longer on the Xbox One S compared to the normal game download so it’s probably only recommended downloading the assets when you’re planning to get Scorpio.
The One S will play 4k games but only upscale it to 4k, it won’t be native 4k. The HDR will work if your TV supports it which will make the game look really nice. Blu-Ray plays native 4k movies. Streaming in 4k you shouldn’t have any problems. I have Netflix< Amazon and Vudu no problem streaming their movies in 4k.

It expands 1080p to 2160p. Stretches the picture to fill in pixels. H5 looks really good on my TV as it is. If you watch 4k blu-rays they look fantastic. With the Xbox X it will allow the devs to make game characters look real.
