So I know pretty much most forums on here deal with halo in general but I’m losing patience and want know what’s the best.
I’ve had my xbox one for about 2.5 months and I’m trying to get the best of the best picture quality. I went into my settings I have them set as 1080P, HDMI, 36 pixels, RGB Full PC, no Hz. Supposedly I should have the sharpness all the way down and no enhancements, is that correct? Or nah? Should I have game mode on or off? I’ve been playing around with the contrast, brightness, etc for few days and I just can’t seem to be happy. I keep thinking there’s better. Should I use the Xbox calibration or no? Or I’ve heard where I should pick a game and play with tv settings colors and all that way. Yay or nah? If so what game is best? Any suggestions are def welcome and needed. BTW if it helps I got plasma hd tv 1080P.
You should google the setting for your particular tv, for bluray, use those setting to watch tv and play your game. Putting the tv into game mode will improve your game, but diminish picture quality in everthing else.

If there’s a game mode, then that would probably reduce the latency between when the console sends out a signal and when the TV processes it and applies certain filters/etc. to it before it’s displayed.
But most games won’t look universally beautiful on all TVs. I have a Hisense LED at home with a nice response time (and the graphics are pretty good as well, but not as good as other TVs) while the LG Cinema TV I’ve also played the game on makes the game look stunning.
It also depends on the age of the TV, as well. One universal thing in any newer TV is that having smooth-motion on is a colossal no-no if you’re playing a video game.

FOV - field of view. Probably not the best use of the term in this case.
Stated another way - it is easier to pick up what is happening in the game space on a smaller screen than a larger one.
Take it to the extreme of trying to play on an IMAX screen - it’s so big that it is hard to take in all that is happening at any one time - smaller screens are better than Home Theater monster panels.
I don’t think I’m goin to put game mode on. I mean it’s always been off and last thing I want is something degrading the graphics. I tried looking up my tv Manuel for blu ray picture settings but there’s nothing really said for a preferable setting I should put it on. I think the best path for me to take is have Xbox settings where I have them and leave the tv settings to default. Maybe an alter here and there. Suggestions are still def welcome.

Oh, gotcha. I thought he was implying that Halo 5’s FoV adjusts to your screen size. Wish it did. Halo’s been like looking through the neck hole of a turtleneck you haven’t finished putting on since Halo 3.
