Playing the flight on the base xbox one. If anyone else is playing on the base xbox one or xbox one s, I would like to hear your thoughts on the performance. It runs at 30 fps, but I feel like the frame pacing is a bit off, causing it to feel choppy at times. Combine that with the low aim assist, it’s very inconsistent at aiming. I also seem to notice that the xbox one x also has the option to change between performance or quality gameplay. The xbox one and xbox s does not seem to have this, though it’s prob because of how much it is weaker compared to the X. I don’t mind 30 fps, but I feel like the frame pacing needs work and hopefully fixed or even upgraded by launch.
I’m playing on Xbox One S and I’m pretty impressed with Infinite’s visuals and performance on the system. The Digital Foundry video on the first Infinite flight compared the game running on an original Xbox One/S to the Switch ports of ps4 and Xbox games like Apex Legends, where everything is fairly murky but it runs, I guess. This was much more legible and playable than those Switch ports. But I think you’re right about the frame pacing issue—that’s probably what I felt was a bit off about my experience of the game. Still, I’m really happy about how the game looks and performance on the One S overall.
