Infinite doesn’t look any better than Halo 5 on Xbox One my guy. If this game were some visual marvel then I could excuse a 30 FPS MODE, not 30fps with no options. I would like to hear why exactly you think this game can’t run at 60 when Halo 5 and H2A are perfectly capable of doing so? This game doesn’t look that good.
your issue is the xbox one in the cpu is garbage in the modern day world. you compared a phone to fortnite but modern day phones have stronger cpus than the xbox. even the switch. modern day phone cpus eat hardware from 8 years ago. how is that shocking to you. a cpu has to process everything. even the frames that needs to be sent to the gpu to be rendered. the ram is lacking, its vastly slower. the gpu is pretty trash too, both ps an xbox needed a hardware refresh just to even achieve something decent and they was both entirely GPU upgrades mainly.
Sea of thieves has even less going on than CoD or fortnut or whatever and yet…its only 30 frames as well on xbones. Why do you think this is?
you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Old games on old engines with old systems run really well on old consoles. Do you understand how none of that fits what you’re trying to say about Infinite >.>
Yeah Halo 5 sure had an ancient engine huh. So did MW2019, that game totally didn’t have a brand new engine and looked amazing while still running at 60, oh no that never happened at all. And Battlefront 2, one of the best looking games on the Xbox One, totally does not run at 60fps. Obviously none of that is possible since they run on new engines. Oh wait.
Give it time boys.
Besides me and the iForge boys are gonna make you all maps to swoon over in only 6 months:)
Dude every one if those games came out literally years ago. Stop being so dense lol.
I’m sorry you can’t find and/or afford a Series console. But expecting more than 30 FPS on the launch XB1 is just… ridiculous tbh
I play on a high end PC my guy, Xbox One’s performance doesn’t effect me.
How exactly does a game coming out a couple years ago change what is and isn’t optimized? A game being older doesn’t excuse poor optimization, if anything it makes it even more embarrassing. They can do 60 with one game on the exact same hardware, why can’t they do it now? How about you explain to me why the game can’t run at 60 on the Xbox One, while basically every other shooter released on the console can? And don’t use the excuse “well it looks better” because it doesn’t. MW2019 and Battlefront 2 look just as good, if not better, all while maintaining 60FPS.
I downloaded the game on my Xbox One to see if the load times were any better than the absurd load times I get on PC. While it does load ridiculously faster on Xbox One, I found it not very enjoyable to play at 30 fps, and my performance suffered. So I have no good options, and I won’t be playing Infinite unless they fix load times on PC.
Edit: The 30 fps became a bit more tolerable as I got used to it. I’ll play Infinite on my Xbox One when friends want to play, but I probably won’t be playing it much at all on my own.
Why? Because the xbox one S is low-midrange hardware from 8 years ago. It’s a miracle that they got this game running on the equivalent of a $200 2013 graphics card and $100 2013 CPU.
May as well ask why you can’t play halo infinite on a Super Nintendo.
Ever since I saw the banner in the MCC that has a 2D sprite of Master Chief, I’ve wanted a 2D, pixelated, sidescrolling run and gun and jump Halo game.
Why is it such a miracle that this works but not every other shooter than runs at 60fps on the Xbox One? This game doesn’t look exceptional on the Xbox One in any way compared to other shooters.
I don’t think you understand how trash the xbox one’s hardware is.
If it’s so horrendous (it isn’t great) then why can every other multiplayer FPS on the console run at 60fps while Infinite can’t? This game has nothing special in any department, including visuals, to excuse a cruddy framerate.
Your energy would be better spent working to save money for a new machine instead of complaining on forums that trash hardware from 8 years ago runs a new game at 30 fps.
So you don’t actually have any reason for saying what you are saying. Also, I already have a way better machine, but that doesn’t excuse this horrendous performance.
No, you are just refusing to listen. This game is too demanding for the garbage hardware that is the xbox one. So it runs at 30fps. That’s the fact of the matter.
Complaining about that won’t change reality. Get a new system or find a way to enjoy it at 30fps or play something else.
The cost of getting the game to run at 60fps on OG Xbone hardware was probably too much. Halo 5 sacrificed a lot to get there. Basically every single thing was scaled back to make it happen. Infinite is supposed to showcase the power of the new Series X|S hardware. Scaling back every single aspect of the game to get it there was probably something that 343i did not want to do. It would have likely had negative effects on all versions of the game which would have been disastrous.
Can you not still enjoy the game at 30 FPS? I personally play Fortnite on my Nintendo Switch which is also at 30 fps, though it took a day to get used to since I used to play the PS4 version, I have adjusted.
343 got a look of bad feedback concerning Halo Infinites graphics at E3 2020, in response they made the game look better for the latest generation of consoles…sadly Xbox One took the hit, BUT, at least they didn’t cancel the Xbox One game as many fans requested.
Ya the 30fps on xbox one was disappointing as halo 5 and many others ran at 60, infinite just needed to sacrifice some details in the visuals to bump up frame rate for old hardware i think. But the bigger issue is how the aim feels on 30fps with controller. most 30fps shooters feel fine but halo infinites aim with 30fps feels janky af i couldnt put my finger on it, it just felt wrong. So i downloaded my game on my pc. My pc doesnt have the best hardware as upgrading is almost impossible atm but with a 1070ti and i5 8700k i am pushing 100 fps and suddenly the aim (even with controller) feels fine. So im thinking the low frame rate does make the game suffer mechanically.
I’m on an fx8350, gtx 970, and 8gb of ram at 1080p and get a solid 60fps on low (which doesn’t look “low”, it looks fantastic.) Thats 7-9 year old hardware, I’ve been incredibly impressed with the performance. Havent had a single incident of framerate issues actually!
Can’t really contribute to the console discussion though, that sucks the consoles from that era can’t run it well.
