I’m sorry to say but if this new Halo game takes remotely as much time as it does to download games as for example Ryse I will not be getting The next Halo and will go to Ps4. Why does it have to be online only, just to play a simple -Yoinking!- game. Sorry but this new xbox isn’t remotely satisfying so far and only is more horrible than the Xbox 360 because of the simple fact of Xbox one not having reverse capability and making you install the game to the system. Why did -Yoink!- do this to their baby? It so far sucks.

As to your post, -Yoink!- sounds so old and childish that it’s not even funny. Secondly, the Xbox One, isn’t online only. And thirdly, Halo 4/GTA 5/Forza Motorsport 4 all make you install the game to the HDD so it’s not like this is a new thing.
The reason why you need to install the games is because it’s difficult for the Blu-ray player to read all the information, the ps3 game disc had the same data installed twice on the disc but This is the solution as the nex gen Blu-ray Disc can hold so much data there won’t be a need to install it in the future on any console.

Xbox One is great.
Download times are dependent on your Internet connection.
PS4 mandates installing all games before playing them as well.
You can play offline.
Backwards compatibility would be nice, but I still have my Xbox 360.

With so much data on a single disc I imagine that access times on an Archival disc would be significantly longer than a Blu-ray. Raw size isn’t a solution to slow reading (though like you said you can use redundancy as a workaround).

Took me less than 30 min to download Titanfall at 15 gb. Perhaps it’s time to upgrade your internet connection. Maybe looking at some new ethernet cable and a new router?
I don’t see how having backwards compatibility would change things. They said from day one it wouldn’t be backwards compatible. You knew this. The xbox 360 was only a little bit backwards compatible and I never used that feature.
You install the game because of the sheer size of the games. They’re huge. There is no way you can run those games straight off the disc and have quick loading times. They loading would be even longer than it is now.
If you think the xbox one sucks, please by all means go sell it and search your heart for the console you dearly want, because to me it sounds like you knew what you were getting into and still didn’t like it.

But, if it’s not, then OP, i suggest you do what the others have said already. Try to figure out what is wrong with your internet connection, and possibly change it, along with the router.

They said that you weren’t gonna need internet to download a game. What kind of -Yoink- is that, anyways? "Oh they’re maybe something wrong with your internet? -Yoink- I have horrible internet which is why I rarely play online with certain games.

It also took 14hrs to download Titanfall and no I did not know what I was getting myself into being that they said for them selves you did not internet to download a game. So why is Internet a factor? I am now aware this is the wrong forum however it does tie into Xbox one due to me maybe not buying it. Not need be -Yoinks!- you -Yoinking!- Microsoft worshing scum. Bow down to your BlackPlague you worthless track -.- doesn’t sound nice does it. That’s how you all came off to me.
