Ok so Reach is finally backwards compatible on the Xbox one and I’m SO SO happy. I jumped in as soon as I heard about it and it took me not even two seconds to notice the framerate is TERRIBLE. Now I get that Reach runs at 30 fps and most games these days run 60 or higher but I’m fine with 30 fps games, I play Destiny pretty much daily and it is a 30 fps game. My real problem is that the game runs at maybe 25 frames max, and that’s when it’s doing good. Normally it runs at 20 frames even dropping to 15 at times. I really don’t know why this is because I played the game just a few days ago on my 360 and it ran pretty much constant 30 fps and when it dropped it dropped no lower than 25 frames. If this is a known problem we have no control over then that really stinks but if there is a fix anyone may know of please tell me.
Alright well I just looked around the forums a bit more and realized this has been addressed already, sorry.

yeah i have been getting these issues, when i also play split-screen it freezes for about a minute and the audio glitches, it also drops to about 10 fps 15 if im lucky, there have also been times when i get a blank screen and on MP i get killed constantly (this is splitscreen) makes me regret selling my 360, reach was really fun to play at its normal framerate.
guys don’t worry Microsoft or 343 industries hears our complaints and will fix it.

source please
Here’s hoping someone over at Microsoft gives a damn so this can get addressed.
One of the most perfect game for X360 running poor on Xone.
Bad experience for those who chooses Xone as main platform gamming.
Actually, you guys aren’t understanding the fact that while Reach was made and optimized for the Xbox 360, you’re talking about expecting 360 software emulation on a console other than the one the game was designed for. The X1 has to use more processing and computing power than the Xbox 360 did to emulate the 360 in the first place. Not only that, but the software RUNNING this is also not perfect. Games will NOT run perfectly smooth. They will have to take user-feedback and input to iron out issues and possibly update the BC emulation software again. Each update games seem to work better and better so just give it time.
Noticed it was a little laggy when I played Firefight. At first I thought it was just a bad host connection.
A way to help out with the frame rate is to go to settings, then go to display and sound, select video output, then turn the tv resolution to 720p which should help your frame rate a lot because it sure helped mine
