Xbox One Design "Show" Halo 5?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pN4OUiXaxs
51 seconds into the video. You see someone pop into display, showing that they are playing Halo 5 - Infinity Slayer on Haven.

Can someone over at 343i clear this up.

Just a word of caution Op, mods might consider this a leak.

Anyways I think it’s a placeholder. Infinity Slayer technically is just the new name for Slayer and usually being used for the gametype we know. But Haven being brought back already? Idk this just doesn’t sound right. I wonder what it means.

It was posted by the Xbox team themselves. Whether it be intentional or not, I don’t see how it will cause any trouble.

You never know with the mods on this site lol.

Anyways, I would also like some clarification.

seems like its legit im just hoping its not since i didnt like infinity slayer or haven.

Good eye my friend somewhat weird that Xbox would put that out in the video like that but maybe it’s a small tease for the future.

Also the youtube comments are lighting up with it.

If this isn’t fake then RIP classic (and good) Halo.

The Xbox One dashboard images shown in the recently released “Xbox One Design Show” video, were placeholder and not indicative of future game content. As previously stated, your next ‘Halo’ journey will begin in 2014, and we’ll have more detail to share at E3 in June.

My dreams have been crushed but I guess I can wait a little bit longer to find out.
I just hope its a new Halo.

Something tells me that only two of those titles were ‘placeholders.’

Haven and Infinity Slayer.

Edit: I only just noticed the note form Administration. That will teach me not not read a thread before commenting :expressionless:

“As most (all?) of you expected, the Xbox One dash images shown in this video were placeholder and not indicative of future game content”

Tentative labeling are common in presentations like this.

Also this doesn’t mean Halo is doomed.

oh COME ON! to believe that this game is not Halo 5 is foolish. We know Halo 2A is coming to Xbox One. That is not the game 343I is talking about when they say “Halo for Xbox One”.

Again it’s just a placeholder.

Call it a placeholder all you want. It is Halo 5.

Andy, you will be crushed when they announce Halo 2 Anniversery for 2014. Setting yourself up for disappointment…

what we saw e3 2013, was not representative of halo 2a. 343 knows better than to release h2a as the “halo xbox one” title.

Halo Xbox One, and Halo 5 are both placeholders. which one is more likely?

> what we saw e3 2013, was not representative of halo 2a. 343 knows better than to release h2a as the “halo xbox one” title.

What we saw at E3 was Halo 5. The trailer itself was a trailer for the future of the Halo series on Xbox One, announcing that our next journey (which isn’t tied to any specific game- considering the trailer was not a trailer for a game, but for “Halo” in general) will be in 2014.

The only good explanation as to why they’re doing this -Yoink- with the name (because they could have just said Halo 5) is that it isn’t Halo 5. Now look, it’s been exactly 10 years since Halo 2, people have been raging for a remake and some multiplayer goodness since the servers were shut down. Most of all, 343i needs to reclaim the trust of the competitive Halo fan. What better way to do that than to offer a remade Halo 2 with a Halo 5 Beta key?

And this is without even going into leaks and rumors, since we aren’t allowed to.
