Hey guys/girls,
I hope all is well. I was just curious on what you guys think of the halo controllers compared to now from the 360 days. I feel like the controllers in the 360 days were more captivating than what they have now. Like the recent halo controller that just came out was just to bland. Back when they were making the 360 controllers they had made them with good detail like the Limited Edition HALO 3 Covenant Controller; I would gladly spend my money on those type of controllers. But that is just me. What do you guys think?

Which Halo controller?
I was big fans of the ones that launched with Halo 5 - the matching colors for Chief/Locke were cool (and 117 in braille under the Chief colored controller? sick!). The Halo Wars 2 wired controller was mostly just okay.
The Spartan/Covenant controllers for 360 were okay - I honestly felt more wear on the sticks with those than my other ones for some reason. The one that came with the Halo 3 console was nice in that it matched the green console, but I thought it was pretty bland. On top of that, the green ODST controller I just thought was kind of lazy - basically took the Halo 3 edition and just added ODST markings on it.
Really liked the silver Reach and blue Halo 4 controllers though. Those were my favorite from 360 by far.
To speak on overall controller design and wear/tear - it’s hard to say. As someone who owns two consoles of both 360 and One, and 8+ total controllers - it’s kind of a toss up. The sticks and bumpers continue to be the biggest issue as far as wear and tear goes on both. And I think there are great designs available for both as well - currently I’m using the Gears 5 controller as my main, and I love how it feels.
I prefer the 360 controller’s lightness and size. But I use elite controllers now, so having paddles is a must.
