I played the last Beta on my Xbox one X and it ran like trash. I’ve also noticed on benchmark videos AMD GPUs have major issues even after being updated to latest drivers like 343 said. Why is it that I can run a giant game like Warzone with no issues beautiful graphics and high framerate but a small map shooter like Halo Infinite runs like trash? Halo is supposed to look beautiful that is the point. They should have made it next gen only. Hopefully this is fixed before the actual game comes out but judging 343 from the past MCC issues I have little hope.
I can see two arguments in your post, but I’m only going to engage with the rational one.
Halo Infinite ran like molasses on old hardware and new hardware alike due to the age and lack of optimization of the builds, which were months behind of the game’s actual development. People forget this all the time.
They only wanted us to playtest specific elements of the game and (passively) fuel the hype engine with Halo-related content, and those specific things existed on stable-but-outdated builds. Simple as that.
Save your “next gen only” assertion for launch. We still don’t know if it’ll run good on obsolete hardware.
With xbox one there will be the graphics/performance option in settings, from what I saw when I ran it on one x, graphics option will run at 30fps & performance should run at 60fps.
It was an older build, so can’t really see how it runs properly until release as not all settings were working at the time.
according to digital foundry and “el analista de bits” in one X performance mode runs at 60fps almost perfectly

This is the second thread he’s posted and the Digital Foundry video was linked in the last one. Maybe he doesn’t know how to click links. My X1X ran like a champ considering its age.
