Why do we need Xbox live GOLD to do any multiplayer I mean, no offense but are you trying to make money or something because I don’t like how you’re doing this. why are you doing this. You’re killing me man
It’s always been like this since the original Xbox went online. You always need a Gold membership to play online against other players. Get the yearly subscription (as it is probably the more cost-effective option) and you’ll be set.
The good thing with having gold now compared to before is that you get free games each month. Plus this has nothing to do with 343 its all microsoft.
On the xbox one though unlike you only need gold on one account and other accounts on that system can aslo play online.

Because the servers cost money? Because it’s not a free service.
