So I checked my reputation a couple days back and there are six people who have reported me for Cheating in Halo 5 (I say Halo 5 because it’s the ONLY game I play online).
I know I’ve never cheated (at least never knowingly/intentionally cheated) so I’m a little concerned by the fact six people reported me for doing so.
Is there any way I can find more details about what I did in each case to warrant such accusations? I would like to know so I can avoid those actions in the future. If someone got upset enough to report me then I feel I have done a disservice to the community as a whole and want to do everything I can to avoid those actions in the future. I have literally LOST SLEEP over this.
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but either way some insight would be greatly appreciated.
I wouldn’t worry too much about this, some people just report you because you beat them or because they think it will affect you (despite you not actually cheating). If the enforcement team haven’t taken any action against you then you should be ok.
I also have been reported for cheating, which surprises me because I am an old man with poor reflexes, so most of the time I don’t do very well. So don’t take it too hard. You probably did really well, and they just couldn’t take the pounding!
People get butthurt when they get beaten & they report players for cheating, I don’t do this cause I don’t get butthurt (Only when i’m carrying), we all have our skills, cons, pros & the MLG
And pretty much why I actually Xbox, cause people just abuse the report system
I’ve been reported for cheating the first time I hit champ rank in FFA, the sore loser claimed I manipulated my internet to create lag to make myself harder to hit when he just flat out lost 1v1s from being out played, nothing happened.
A human being looks into it before actions are taken, if they don’t see any proof of cheating nothing can happen.
You probably wrecked some clan and they mass reported you. Just a couple weeks ago I had a small clan all up in arms spouting threats. Best one was “You’re gonna need a new gamertag when we’re done with you if we’re done with you.” The sad part is it was over custom games.
Your rep with be cleansed in time. The more games you go without getting reported the faster it’ll clear.

I wouldn’t head it much mind. If you feel like you didn’t do anything wrong you’re probaly right. A lot of people will report you because they lost a match and got tilted enough to do so. This happens more than it should

I’d have reported the message you quoted and then they’d get a nice crispy ban
To put it simply, -Yoink- like this happens all the time and it’s best to report it asap. Otherwise, I wouldn’t let it bother you too much.
I’ve racked up 55 reports so far, the majority of them are being unsporting and cheating. I guess that’s what you get for making your gamertag sound like “hacker”…
I honestly didn’t even know you could check and see things like that. Plus the only time I report people is for betraying or weapon-griefing as unsporting and I actually report intentional smurphs and their friends for boosting and matchmaking manipulation.

enforcement.xbox.com I haven’t checked this in a while. I have 3 for Unsportsmanlike. I don’t think I have ever been out of the green. Like others have said Reports are investigated. What I wonder is do people get in trouble for false reporting.

False reports (like making another person become the fall guy) will probably net you a sizable penalty if I had to guess.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. People file false reports on others to either attempt to deliberately lower someone else’s reputation, or they were outplayed, and throw cheating reports out without a second thought. I’m sure Xbox Live reviews these reports, and they’ll know when and when it is not valid.
I currently have 40 reports in Cheating alone right now. I just play the game, and I happen to do good from time to time. I am always going to be against unsporting behavior.
Only way to find out is if you ask the people who reported you. I wouldn’t worry about it since it’s probably for some dumb reason that they think you cheated. I have seven reports each for unsupporting and cheating. I also have one for my gamertag which is baffling to me.

I wouldnt say I’m too good. My highest rank ever is plat 3 in FFA. Most of the time I play people of higher ranks just because I party up with some friends who are High plat-Onyx on a regular basis. That being said I definitely have stellar games, so that could be why they report me lol. No one likes getting spanked by someone of a lower CSR
As for t-bagging: I’m certainly guilty of the occasional tbag, but only in social playlists. Ranked playlists have higher stakes and I know people are probably trying their best to do well so I see no sense in shaming them if I win the game/gunfight. That doesnt do anything but discourage the player and I dont want to do anything that might make someone quit playing. My goal is to do what I can to grow the community
