OK I finally passed general and and now am feild marshall but anyway since passing general whenever I play bad (which is when im having a bad day) I get hate mail or whatever. Anyway I ignore it but why do people do it. It makes no sense and seems like a waste of time.

You get hate mail becuase noobs think that just because you are a higher rank than general, you are good at halo, (I have a friend IRL he is a field marshal). He went like 13/12 in one match and this kid sent him a message about how he is a hacker and sucks at Halo. So yeah it’s just some poor noob looking for another reason to hate players and Halo Reach.
It gets exponentially worse as you approach inheritor.
By the time you get there, it’s barely worth it to play anymore.

Never have a bad game.
It is because people think rank in Reach means how good you are, it simply means how much you have played the game.

I am a Nova and I have the same problem. I hardly go negative but when I do, all hell breaks lose. I always say “Yeah. I was negative one that game. But where were you? You were negative (Insert their embarrassing K/D here)”

yep Played a little bit better than yesterday and i received hate mail and 2 friend requests. Oh well guess theres nothing you can do about it.
I usually get hate mail from trolling people. “YOU KILLED ME WITH THE PLASMA PISTOL?! NOOB!”

Hilarious video bro. No really it was funny as hell. To think that they actually wasted their time sending messages over and over. And the block button is just a click away! Life is good no? What ever happened to GG? Back in CE even if a team got clobbered we all said GG afterwards. Good Sportsmanship never goes out of style!

Two friends of mine were in Grifball together. The other members of their team quit, it comes down to the wire. One of them gets trapped in a corner, desperate move, he jumps, they hammer, he flies up and over them and then it’s: “cr@p oh cr@p oh cr@p, running, running, running!”
After the game, the other team sent both of them hate mail screaming things at them…Oh by the way did I mention those guys, played the game improperly and were much higher levels?
yup, hates gunna hate. had a guy sending me a few texts about how i shouldnt have been a nova, that i just firefight boost, and to do 1v1. all because i kept killing him in a game of zombies lol

The video was a sad demonstration of the online gaming community at the moment. The person making it was obviously baiting them, and in some cases you can tell he/she messaged them first.
Then someone thinks he is ‘entitled’ to betray and fool around in MM spoiling other peoples games because he has an ego about his K/D. Get a grip.
Its time people grow up and play with dignity. Be a good sportsman and have fun playing!
