I was wondering if you a required to have an Xbox live GOLD membership to play halo wars 2 online on Windows 10 PC?
Generally people thought not however, on the Microsoft store page at the bottom of the description it says:
“online multiplayer features require Xbox live gold membership (sold separately).”
Does anyone know for sure?

It was announced back in 2015 that no Windows 10 game will require Xbox Live Gold. I’ve been playing Halo Forge on Windows 10 through the Xbox app without any subscription and others have played the recent Gears of War etc. 99.9% chance Halo Wars 2 will not require a gold subscription on Windows.

No game requires gold for Xbox live when playing on the PC.
