I have read the Halo 4 Ban FAQ, however I would like to know if this ban only affects matchmaking and online features exclusive to Halo 4 or does this ban activity go on your Xbox Live account permanent record and stay with you across activity on all other Xbox Live games?
If you get temporarily banned in Halo 4 once or twice and possibly temporarily banned in a totally separate game (non-microsoft) for any reason, will those bans accumulate and eventually get you a permanent system console ban from Xbox Live service altogether?
Also, let’s say you receive a ban for whatever the reason while playing Halo 4, after enough time will your first bannable offense be wiped clean or will the next bannable offense, if there is one, be more harsh since it is your second ban even if this second ban occurs years from the date of your first offense? Bottom line, are these bans permanently cumulative or do they reset after so much time has passed with no offenses committed?
If I’m correct, the only way someone can get Perma-Banned is if they modded there account to use codes in a game, specifically Halo. Also, another way to get perma-banned is if someone modded there way into getting achievements without actually “trying” to do it in-game.
XP banned I think its after the 4th offense, but im not sure. All i can tell you is, don’t do it, because it’ll be one Heavy Price Paid.

I think that your Halo 4 ban will only affect other games/online features if it is any of the next reasons
> Console tampering: Physically opening the Xbox console and modifying it to play illegitimate software.
>
> Online fraud: Attempting to social engineer users, take over Xbox LIVE accounts, or perform other fraudulent activities.
>
> Repeat egregious violations: Multiple actions taken on accounts on the console by the enforcement team for disrupting the service or impacting users.
Any of those should get you console banned.

Not that I know, Halo 4 bans are only Halo 4 but remember you can get console banned in any game.

About this I don’t know but it is a good question, IMO what would make most sense would be: depending on the severity of the ban it can be forgotten or not
In-game bans are separate from Xbox LIVE bans, but some companies do work with Microsoft if modifying the console comes into play to permanently ban the user from Xbox LIVE.
If you are caught boosting or something minor like that, then you don’t have to worry about anything.
This information was very helpful. I played a round with all three of my guests logged in and was immediately affected by this. I am not accustomed to this sort of thing and was concerned that this may have overreaching effects on my Xbox Live account as a whole, which is more important to me than continuing to play Halo 4. I appreciate all the informative replies. Thank you very much!

Most likely accounts get Exp. Banned due to having guest accounts and you mostly move around while they sit in one spot and not move. I’m guessing your were boosting for achievements.
