They day has been a long one, I’m finally off work, the kids have been fed, bathed, and put to bed, the wife is on Pinterest…all is quiet in the household. I click on Halo 5, and the first group of players I’m joined with contains a player who seems to be talking to someone else in the room coaching them through another game while a background that sounds as if they’re at a loud fundraiser event for whooping cough victims and howler monkeys is heatedly underway, and everything is echoing so loudly and so badly that nothing can be heard. I wonder to myself, how on earth can they enjoy playing Halo? This is an extremely common occurrence, and I wanted to start a thread to inquire as to what kind of environment do people play halo in? Obviously my environment is stone dead because my children sleep about as deeply as a dolphin (the only species I know of that literally sleeps with 1 eye open).
Thank God for the mute all button, am I right?
Sorry, we’ve been trying to raise money all year for those poor howler monkeys. They just can’t get over that whooping cough.
I entered one match to a shrieker… Now I immediately enter into a party chat by myself no matter what. I don’t have patience for that.
I always go into a solo party to avoid things like this, so I’ve never experienced anything like this.
My bf and I always play together. So we either just talk to each other and leave our mics off. Or we are in a group with friends. We both like quiet while we play.
Yeah we’ve all experienced it, and we all know it sucks. I really wish we could mute people from the lobby.

This would be the best way to handle it, having to wait until you are in the game, is like losing some game time.

Hah! Fantastic, that made me laugh
