I haven’t been on Xbox today, so I didn’t see it but I have it preinstalled already. Maybe it’s just a Microsoft store bug?

Definitely sounds like a bug, if I recall, there was a Microsoft store update a day or so ago, so that may have broken something.
I wouldn’t worry too much as it is probably them just moving stuff around in the Microsoft store which probably caused a bug in the tile showing up for the preorder. I would wait until they announce when you can preload the game before worrying too much. If the preload date comes and you are still unable to access and download the game then I would contact Microsoft Support. But right now I think you should be fine.
Most likely some kind of small bug.
It could also be related to the code install for the new waypoint app that’s really close. Maybe along with the app refresh 343 is going to touch up a bunch of the icons and what not for various Halo xbox assets.
More than a month off release, they are probably updating stuff at the back-end.
Alot of stuff goes on in background, my daahboard Infinite pic still has XS on it, certainly nothing to worry about.

Sounds about right.
I’m so ready for the new site. Feels like this ones been on its last legs for a couple of weeks, especially when using a mobile phone.
Sorry to ask a dumb question- but I guess this is only for pre-order digital. I have pre-ordered the disc version, I guess I ant pre-down load anything and will have to install it all when I have the physical disc?
