This game is a perfect example of why we need a refund option like Origin has.
We really don’t, Microsoft already does refunds for cases like this. Many people including myself have gotten refunds for their digital copies simply by phoning Microsoft and asking for a technical issue refund. As long as your friendly to the customer service staff they should take care if you.

They revoke your license, it stays installed on your hard drive but the game will not launch, it acts like your installed the game off a disc but don’t have the disk inserted.
What’s the statute of limitations on this? And what website should I go to to attempt? I would LOVE to get a refund on Destiny
Go to Microsoft commerce website and click get help then contact us and call them, they will also do a 1 time courtesy refund for a game if you ask (not required but they do it if they want to). I got a refund for destiny, between the server issues and the horribly repetitive gameplay I was very disappointed. Microsoft gave me a refund in Xbox store credit. It’s what I had used to buy halo lol, then returned that and used the credit for gta v and have been very happy with the purchase
Yep, got them to refund my Destiny purchase and I downloaded GTA V instead. SWEET DEAL! Microsoft is amazing

Microsoft is working to stop this. The guys in India doing online customer support are no longer giving refunds. They are losing too much money, and have put a stop to it.
