Greetings all. Im posting this thread to find out if others are having a similar problem with this as I am. ill start off buy saying. I started having problems with my controller disconnecting after the latest patch. The issue being that a message will pop up saying to reconnect my controller as it has disconnected. That being said I noticed, that when this happens my controllers light on the center button eather, a remains solid, and I can press the a button make the disconnect message reconnect your controller go away, or it flashes and needs to be resynced to the controller. Ive consulted the xbox support forums, followed there steps ect. None of there suggested methods have helped. ive hard reset my xbox and im still having the same problems. However when halo mcc isn’t running or being played my controller works fine ive proven this as in the dashboard I have full functionality of my controller. Im wondering and belive this to be an issue related to halo mcc. Ive read other threads about this being done on other games as well. if anyone else is having this problem, and ive also listed this on a thread in the xbox support forums (still waiting on reply from Microsoft) let me know please. also if its an isse specifically related to halo mcc hopefully will be fixed soon. If its a firmware problem then Microsoft should get its act together
Just woke up not to long ago for any that may be having this problem Microsoft and xbox live support till have not pozsted on my thread on the support pages as to weather or not they are looking into the matter of the disconnecting controllers. Nor have they posted a statement on the matter this is troubling me greatly as it shows poor customer support and poor business practice. Im even more disturbed I haven’t heard as of yet from 343 industries on the matter as well
Had a similar problem and it came down to changing between plug and play kit and battery power only. If you ever connect the controller to USB, you must turn it off first. You cannot have a controller in battery mode then connect it to USB or vice versa or this problem will keep happening. To change between the two the controller must be completely powered off then turned on with the option you want to keep it in.
Sounds dumb, but after days on troubleshooting this was my problem. I kept changing from one to another then started doing it by cycling power off on the controller and it never happened again.
It happened to me
Can’t fix it either
