Xbox Connect.

Xbox Connect allows you to play Halo 2 online on the Xbox/Xbox 360. Need a PC to do this, sorry Mac.

  1. Download

  2. Install

  3. Physical Set-up. Get two ethernet cables. Connect the first ethernet from your router to your computer. Connect the second from your router to the Xbox. You must do this even if you have a wireless adapter on the Xbox.

  4. Digital Set-Up. Start up Halo 2, sign in but not to Xbox LIVE. Go to system link, and go to the search for games page. Go to your PC and open up XBC. Go to tools, find console, and click on ethernet, you must have installed wincap so be sure to install when installing XBC. Now that your console is found click on Halo 2, click on a match. It will now appear in your game search on Halo 2, join it.

  5. Play.

It’s awesome, little to no lag. Go get it now as the population for XBC is small, grow the old Halo 2 online fun experience.

I know this is not the place to put this, but a lot of the people on this part of the forum love Halo 2. Sue me.

relevance to Halo 4

this thread has none

First, you’ve posted this twice, once in this forum, and once in the Halo 2 forum.

Second, you’re correct, this isn’t the right forum, and that is for good reason. We dont want a bunch of Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Reach topics all put in the Halo 4 forum just so that more people see them.

Third, there is already a XBConnect Master Thread stickied to the top of the page in the Halo 2 forum that serves that purpose.

Yes, XBC is cool. However, it does not belong here, and the reason for the sticky is so that we don’t have a bunch of the same thread popping up.

EDIT: Topic moved to Halo 2 forum.
