XBL Beacons

I’ve heard rumors that the Beacon system may be brought back for the Xbone, but my internet searching hasn’t yielded any concrete results. Does anyone have the skinny on this? As a person that organizes play dates and runs a Spartan Company, I would be thrilled to see this feature.

Im case one may not know about the Beacons from the X360, you could set up alerts that would show up as notifications to your friends that said something like “CoverMyMeds wants to play Halo 4 with friends” or something like that. Granted, the beacon system did have some silly flaws- that’s not what I want to discuss. I would like to discuss the rumor of it coming back and hopefully confirm it as fact.

I have not herd this, but think it’s good. Instead of having to message each individual.

I remember those, I had one guy who always set the beacon on my friend’s list, he never actually played the games he set the beacon for, and he had a tendency to sign in and out a lot…
