Just has to be 2 different sliders for each of the different directions. I think this would help many players due to the simple fact that most controllers get an annoying difference in sensitivity depending on the direction your analog stick is pointing.
For example on my controller, which I only bought 3 months ago, the right analog stick already has issues with looking up and down, but going side to side my sensitivity is normal. Whenever i try to look up or down, it is significantly slower than looking left or right, and it’s only from ware and tear. This makes shooting pretty annoying when you’re reticule isn’t moving at a steady pace across the screen, especially since it’s out of your control. If we were able to adjust the directions it could essentially fix the issue.

Sorry to hear that your controllers are already showing signs of wear. I got my XB1 in early December and the controllers are still working great, analogs and all, a huge step up from the 360 controllers. Those things’ analog sticks and bumpers wear out so fast. I think your idea of a sensitivity slider in the settings menu would be great in case your analog sticks wear out, but I don’t think here is the place to get the devs attention for ideas, it seems. Try Josh Holmes’ twitter instead, your idea is far more likely to get attention there. Good day!
I like this idea a lot. I tend to take great care of my controllers. I’m still using an original that came with my 360 5 years ago. Yeah it has some wear and tear and over the years the left thumb stick has gotten a little loosey-goosey especially moving left to right. So to have a slower speed in that would help if this starts to happen to a XB1 controller of mine.

It’s most probably not a hardware issue, it’s just that Halo has always been this way. That being said, it’s true that it feels a bit slow sometimes in the vertical direction, a vertical sensitivity slider could thereby be an interesting addition.
> Left and right always seems to be faster than up and down but that might just be me.
I remember having this same problem about a year ago, and it was really annoying when I played infection and I couldn’t turn fast enough.
I think they should add this, and something else. I’d like to be able to change the sensitivity of my thumbstick while zoomed in, like Gears of War. If my sensitivity is too low, it makes it harder to win SMG/AR duels. When its too high, I miss much more often with the BR/DMR. If I could just lower my aiming speed while zoomed in, it wouldn’t be as much of a problem for me.

It’s almost like a dead zone on the controller which ruins sensitivity. Used to happen a lot on my 360 controllers as well. Having a younger brother who rages at FIFA is not good for controller longevity.
The difference in UP/DOWN compared to LEFT/RIGHT that you are experiencing has nothing to do with your controller.
Halo was like that since CE, in every Halo game the X and Y Axis had a different sensitivity.
