I was playing WZFF last night with another person in party chat and we won our first match on Sanctum. We were both a little surprised, seeing as how it’s very difficult to win any given match in this gamemode, but we were happy to get the daily win pack out of the way early. We figured it was due to Sanctum being one of the easier maps. The next match was on ARC, and we figured we were in for a loss. Surprise, surprise, we won again, even cruising through the “defend the garage” objective relatively easily. We chalked it up to dumb luck. Next match, back on Sanctum. We won again, third match in a row. Back to ARC for our fourth match…which we won again… At this point we’re starting to get giddy, joking about having the WZFF world record for consecutive wins. Next match was on Stormbreak, where we cruised through the first two rounds, only to fall victim to seemingly stealth Knights. We couldn’t find them on the map for 2 minutes after the first two waves spawned, leaving us 30 seconds to kill 11 Knights.
TL;DR, we ended up going 7-3 in 10 WZFF matches last night. We even won on Urban by killing the three Wardens in the home base! I’ve never seen that happen and my teams have never even come close to that. We even killed the Mythic Warden with over 30 seconds remaining! This got me wondering whether 343 tweaked the difficulty settings on the server-side. It seemed like our vehicles were lasting longer, and I could swear there were fewer adds on some of the final boss fights. Anyone else notice this, or did we just have a run of great teammates and incredible luck?
