WZFF Raid on Apex 7 Round 5

How successful are players in completing Round 5 when fighting the Goblin Jockey and two Hunters? Seems almost impossible, especially on Mythic…I think I’ve been on a couple teams that beat the round but for the most part, fail to even defeat the Goblin. On the other hand, when fighting the ‘massive incoming Covenant forces’ in the Prophet of Wrath and the Temple Wraith…that one is relatively much easier to get through.

The “massive incoming covenant forces” is a guaranteed win

To my mind, they did a terrible job balancing the final round selections on Apex 7.

The Prophet’s Wrath is a gimme while the Knight Headsman is ridiculous.

the best firefight round ever

I agree. I won a match of WZMFF on Apex with that exact configuration in the 5th round.

The Goblin is able to sustain its health amount for way to long in my opinion when it is taking damage constantly from high damage vehicles/ weapons.

I haven’t come across the Goblin/Hunter boss fight in Mythic FF yet…and I don’t want to. It was bad enough before the FF difficulty breakout update. The entire team needs to be in a vehicle (mix of flying and ground) and attacking from all sides. Don’t just crowd around the top of the hill near Blue armory. That way your tanks aren’t constantly being targeted and destroyed. Without vehicles you can’t kill the Goblin fast enough to give you time to take out the Hunters.

Yes I love that round

Yeah it is stupidly easy but I find myself having the most fun with that round regardless

what spawns then, I don’t recognize the phrase

The Prophets’ Wrath which is a phantom and some banshees.
Then after that Tankmaster Luk spawns which is a mythic temple wraith boss with some temple ghosts

At the end of round 4 which is usually at the beach at blue base, I sprint past the spire and take the man cannon to the red base. The countdown usually ends at the outlook balcony, but don’t req a vehicle here, you will spawn at blue base which is useless.

If round 5 is the goblin or phantom, head into the base. If it’s the knights, then good luck. spawn a heavy armour scorpion if it’s the goblin so that you can attack from cover and not be disadvantaged by the hill on the other side ruining your line of fire. If it’s the the phantom req a laser and take cover in the base entrance.

Ive won these rounds several times, including at mythic level

The most annoying thing for me is when you have a full team and it’s round 4 or 5 and you have to kill grunts or jakalls and they are so spread out on the map that you could be searching the whole time and only find like 9 or 10 they really need to group them closer together

i hate the mech/hunter round ive lost it far more times than won…but if i didnt get stevie wonder and ray charles on my team maybe id have more success

The only issue I have concerning the Goblin/Hunter round is the incessant amount of Prometheans that accompany them. Seriously, that doesn’t make any sense. Isn’t the entire point of them in this game that they’re supposed to be fighting each other? I don’t see why it can’t just be the Goblin on it’s own and then the Hunters with some limited backup. Why must there always be infinite backup for them, but limited backup for us? It makes no sense.

so true. It’s funny how bad the phantom is at defending itself.

I know right, I always laugh when the round has just started and it’s like halfway dead already

Easiest map yet. I won on my second try. Of course the first attempt was the grunt goblin and hunters…

The Goblin is ridiculous. The only way I managed to beat Mythic last weekend was by getting the Prophets’ Wrath on round 5. We managed to kill the Goblin once, but we only had like 30 seconds to kill the Hunters (probably 20 if you factor in how long it took them to spawn), so we failed. Despite the changes 343 made, the Goblin is still my least favorite enemy.

**correction: “massive incoming covenant threat”

Lol just had to fix it
