WZFF: Nerf Phantom turret damage please

Dear 343i,

So I just finished losing on Legendary Warzone Firefight on Escape from Arc. (Round 4 defending 2 forerunner cores from covey) and all I have to say is please lower the damage on those phantom turrets because they already destroyed 2 of my woodland scorpions, my teammate’s wraith, and my beloved Hannibal scorpion “alone”.

I wouldn’t say the damage needs to be nerfed, however having the option to destroy them would be nice.

Yeah, those side turrets are ridiculous. I’d also like it if the Phantoms themselves didn’t linger around for so long after dropping off enemies. It’s just really annoying.

For that round 4 on ARC, what I usually do is hide in the tunnel area when the Phantoms come in. That way, I can still shoot the enemies that drop and avoid the majority of the side turret shots.

If we were just able to destroy them, that would be plenty.

That, or destroying the Phantom entirely.

Interesting how you could destroy Phantoms in Halo 3 and even Halo 4. Phantoms have really advanced in such a short period to the point that they’re made of indestructible materials. They now even have an invisible barrier so you can’t kill the Covenant dropping onto the battlefield until they are totally out of the ship’s bay. The new Covenant has done some marvelous work.

Just let us blow this things in pieces.That we cant destroy the Phantom is understandable,but its not for the turrets.

maybe make the turret less accurate, and the grunt/elite killable

Why don’t we just do it all? Allow for the turret gunners/turrets themselves to be destroyed as well as being able to destroy the Phantom itself! It doesn’t make much sense why the option was removed in the first place, when Halo 3 and 4 both had the ability to destroy Phantoms (Halo Reach had it too, but not in the same way).

Put in the Reach options for the phantoms. Blow them up, shoot the turrets down, etc.

(Well Couber, with all the OP reqs in the last rounds you could just take them all out before they could drop enemies!)

Well then, increase the enemies, spawn enemies on ground at the same time. Or more phantoms.

Worked in Reach, should work in Halo 5 too.

Not really damage nerf, but an option to eradicate the gunners would be a viable option to have, but would say they should tone down the range for a bit since they can cross map with some decent accuracy

banshee AI need a fat nerf to their plasma turrets
