When WZFF gives regen health to bosses those rounds turn into losses
When round 1 is defend Darkstar armory from Prometheans you just have to start the next match again sooner
When objectives aren’t marked your team just shoots the first thing they see
WZFF beats you thanks to how cheaply it cheats
The game as a whole does this, the way 343i makes the game harder is by making the enemies shoot faster, with insane accuracy, while making them deal tremendous amounts of damage, and being able to take more damage as well, all of this instead of making the AI act smarter on higher difficulty levels. It’s the most common and cliche thing devs do to make their games harder and is something I hope gets fixed for H6
The defend missions against Promethens tend to be at least in my experience Insta-losses
they are complete bullet sponges taking up to 2 full clips of a BR to kill a single enemy
The prometheans are cheap given form.

I see your point here, but if you truly want to play smarter enemies, just play high onyx/champ arena or PvP. The funny thing is you mention AI has insane accuracy. If you can’t dodge or manuver yourself away from AI, how do you think you’d fare against a good player?
Firefight is quite simple with the appropriate strategy and awareness/know-how. This works for me quite well: Req 1- scout hog splatter, Req 3- Ghost splatter then heavy vehicles. Milking the easy rounds to build up reqs definitely helps.
I find that the more I play Firefight, the less enjoyable it becomes. Getting insta-killed constantly is not fun, and Prometheans are just annoying enemies, and every round against them makes me want to quit the match due to how unbalanced they are(I never do, but I want to).
They either need to be nerfed into the ground or removed entirely from Firefight, as they are clearly not balanced to fit in.
I find Covenant rounds to be far more enjoyable due to how there are tactics to take them down.
Grunts you shoot in the head, jackels you have to shoot in that little hole so they get stunned and then headshot them, elites you are able to use Plasma weapons to take down their shields fast, and hunters you shoot in the back.
With prometheans, you headshot the Crawlers when they aren’t jump-sprinting all over the place while shooting you with lock-on weapons, soldiers you spray with bullets until you run out and then they kill you anyway, and Knights just spawn in directly on top of you and kill you instantly.
They can’t nerf the prometheans fast enough.
I like how they praised their playtesters during their livestream, I now wonder if they actually had ANY playtesters at all.
I totally agree. This was my experience last night. Tell me… How am I supposed to win if the enemy boss regens his health after a few seconds!? I get it being difficult, and they want to promote team work, but come on! At this point you would need every member on your fire team to lay down fire on the boss just so he won’t regen. But I play solo most of the time and no one is speaking to each other so we can’t coordinate an attack. Nevermind there are innumerable adds that constantly spawn to snipe you across the map. Something needs to change with WZFF because as of last night I’m done with it. I’ll play Arena and regular WZ, but I’m not going to tryhard in WZFF just to lose 12 out of my 13 matches. It’s a waste of Reqs and time, since it is more aggravating than fun, to me.

round 1 defend on dragster: well i just wasted intermission time, game loading time, intro time, 3 minutes, and the next intermission time, not to mention my boost.
unfortunately its not just the fact that its 3 minutes where you had no chance of winning.
Does anyone realize that the Promethean weapons are the fastest ways to take down Prometheans

actually the quickest things to take down prometheans are needlers. followed very closely by light rifles and suppressors. I’m not sure why I’m the only one who has noticed this.

Mostly referring to the way enemies seem to instantly lock onto any player in their vicinity (jackal snipers anyone?), dodging and staying alive isn’t really a problem for me in WZFF, the AI is predictable and very basic, the only enemies I have any problems with are the Prometheans since they seem very cheap from a combat standpoint, with homing rounds, and at least as far as soldiers are concerned, the annoying warp ability.

True, but the normal weapon they drop is the supressor, and that starts off firing very slowly, and by the time it gets up to full speed, the guy you are shooting at(and his 20 friends) will have killed you long ago.

Prometheans are extremely weak to their own weapons. Kill a couple crawlers. grab their guns and melt the rest with them. Just like the Covenant, you gotta know the enemies weakness then USE IT. If you don’t then of course you are going to dump 3 mags of your AR/BR into enemies wondering when they will die.
Side note, Prometheans count as vehicles when it comes to damage boosts from weapons. Try using anti vehicle perks on your loadout weapons if you are still having trouble.

I was about to say this. Promethean weapons melt prometheans. If you haven’t figured that out by now I’m sorry for all your struggles

Agree 100%.
Jackals are the worst. Sniped from nowhere. If Jackal snipers are the biggest threat though, take them down first once you realize a teammate has been sniped. They die from 1 shot you know AND you get a free beam.
I cannot stress this enough- SPLATTER THE FIRST ROUND. Unless it’s defend the ____, splatter to your heart’s content as enemies warp in or are dropped in. This isn’t “cheating” or being cheap, this is knowing where the enemy will arrive, and preparing for it efficiently.
it’s old news that the promethean weapons do more damage to them, the issue is their spawn mobs kill in the blink of an eye, they spawn inside the base, by the time you can get a level 2 AR that has the promethean tip the base has 11% left at best, and most people give up or half effort it because they know it’s yoinked
Those Promethean soldiers… Ugh… “This is humanity’s best?” “A human has been killed.” “One less human!”
Everytime.
My biggest problem is the timer ticking away before bosses or enemies even show up. I’ve seen 30-45 seconds completely wasted before anything actually happens. Or it’s the middle of a round 5, you’ve killed the mid bosses so the final boss can show up only now you have to wait 10-15 additional seconds for it to show up as well.
You never have a real solid 5 minutes, it’s a cheap tactic they implemented to make you lose that much easier.
Deacon Pippap is dumb. Its Dual Barrel needler will constantly follow you not matter the range… Seriously, in a fight with the mythic grunt goblin and the Mythic warden eternal, I bet the grunt goblin wins. Thats how dumb the new boss is… lol One megacombine from his dual barrel needler killed my phaeton… with wheelman upgrade on…
Respawn time is what is bugging me, If I die on round 5 it’s a 30 second respawn, I die because I’m on an objective or killing a boss and have to wait so long, it makes it boring. The Mantis’ on Sanctum do my nut, they cross map me and the one in the garage can’t easily be hit by vehicles, the only things that can reliably take them down.
