About a week ago, I had a game of WZFF on Attack on Sanctum, however, on round 4 with the Phaetons, the last one kept going back to full health, in which we lost the game. Stuff like this seems to happen sometimes with the Warden(s) aswell (except we can still kill him/them). I was wondering how many people have had this happen, and if 343I should try making Promethean health regeneration not heal to full but half or little more.

Here is the clip (it starts around 3:20). The Warden can usually only regenerate health if a Watcher is near which makes sense, so I’m fine with it. The Phaeton thing almost looks like a glitch, but I’m not sure.

IK, but this Phaeton actually regenerates from like 1 to full. If it is a glitch like Exenius said, I’d laugh if it worked with player driven Phaetons.

I’ve seen it happen before, but I believe it’s intentional, as opposed to being a glitch. Most likely doesn’t work for player-operated Phaetons, because I’m pretty sure that the a boss vehicle’s health is also linked to the operator.

But then again, why IS it intentional??? I mean, FF doesn’t give you Spartan kills.

I believe it would be intentional in order to encourage constant, concentrated fire on the boss. Sounds kinda silly, but I think that’s what they would add it for.

I have had this happen plenty of times. It is just something to be dealt with unfortunately. It would make more sense for them to be like Banshees where the shield recharges, not the actual health.

Banshee’s do recharge shields. Just need enough time, the same as player piloted Banshees’ shield recharge rate.

Isn’t the firefight timer enough to encourage players to concentrate fire on the boss?

We did, and the last Phaeton was like 1 crit shot to kill… and goes full just hovering above Garage.

I never said banshees didn’t recharge shields. I said that phaeton a should be like banshees and have a shield to recharge instead of regenerating their entire health.

But then again, Prometheans didn’t really use shields [until 343]. Maybe they regen health to full but slowly, like 10hp every 5s?

I am up for anything that makes it to where they do not instantly regenerate health. It does not matter if it is Phaetons, Warden, Mantis’s, or any other Promethean, they should not be able to have instant health regeneration while we are shooting them. I have lost too many firefight matches simply because of this issue. I understand that watchers can help heal them, but it should not be instant.

Yeah, Watchers being able to restore a boss’ health to full instantly is utter bull. It should do it over time. Because going from a near dead Warden to a full health Warden with only a minute left is really fun, especially since I was too busy being shot at to kill a Watcher: no one wants to face a 30 second respawn.

This same thing has happened to me as well. I just thought it was normal

It is definitely not a glitch. It is part of Firefight to make it more difficult. However, I find it extremely frustrating when you are just about to win.

Agreed. It makes it tough without the teamwork of some players just shooting watchers as they spawn.

I’ve lost a couple games because a bosses health recharged. I was on an average team so it took almost the entire round to get the last boss Knight’s health down to a quarter and then a Watcher recharged him and we lost.

If its a watcher that recharges the health it should be GRADUAL! NOT INSTANT! This problem has been there since firefight was released and its extremely annoying to lose a match cause a boss regenerates all of its health cause of sloppy game design.
