WZF: Great Warzone mode, lackluster Firefight mode

Warzone Firefight is the Warzone PvE mode we’ve been asking for ever since launch. I don’t have any suggestions on how to make it better (other than a bug I encountered with an enemy Phaeton not spawning, or actually I think it was stuck somewhere in the map). It plays great and also doesn’t seem too “out there” either. It’ll fit nicely among the other Warzone modes.

However, it’s almost nothing like Firefight aside from the fact that it’s a PvE co-op mode.

The key element of Firefight’s core is survival. You’re locking down the perimeter, frantically scouring weapons between long rounds, and trying your best not to die because of the long respawns and/or limited lives per round. I didn’t find any of that in WZF. It’s all very fast paced go-go-go with an offensive objective. There was one round where you defend the Garage, but even then, it feels more like you’re assaulting the garage since all the enemies end up chilling inside of it very early in the round while you all respawn outside and try to take it back.

Again, I’m very pleased with the mode…just as a Warzone mode. I feel like if it weren’t considered a part of the Firefight lineage, I would be receiving it better.

I feel like the mode would be more Firefight-y if it were a variation of Warzone Assault where essentially everything is the same except the attacking team is all AI. If your team runs out of lives, you get pushed back to the armory and respawn. If you can’t hold down the armory, then you get pushed back to home base where the AI goes after the core (Generator Defense, anyone?)

I really only played it to knock out some of the AI commendations and i couldent even bring my self to play it until i got them all complete
