I bring out a really good weapon to destroy legendary or mythic. I do half the damage then die and my team kills him. WHY I DON’T GET POINTS for that is stupid and something should be done about this.
Yeah, the system can definitely be a bit harsh.
It does suck sometimes, and it used to be worse from my recollection. I think that if you do at least a small percentage of damage to it, you should receive credit even if you die. The system is not, and will not be like that.
Just hope you get the points for doing damage next time. And hold solace in the fact that you’re trying to help your team get ahead, that’s something you can hold pride in, even if you don’t get credit for making a critical Boss kill.
It definitely does suck sometimes. I have had plenty of times where I am shooting at the boss as he is dying and and still dont get credit. There just needs to be boss kill and boss assist medals if they are going to be so picky. That way everyone can potentially get an assist with the final blow getting the kill.

Especially when they’re not even on your flipping team
You’re helping your team and that’s what matters most. While it’s nice to get credit for the boss kill for the req boost, it’s most important that your team gets the points for it so try to look at it that way.
