WZ Blowouts

Of all the WZ matches you play, what would you estimate is the percentage of one-sided blowout matches? Where one-sided means enemy controls all bases for most of the game, core destroyed, 1000 to anything less than say 250 VP.

Oddly my experience has been that it has gotten worse actually – a year ago it was maybe 20% of my matches but now it almost seems like 60%. Just my experience.

I felt that most matches I played were blowouts. I’ve had very little fun playing Warzone and I eventually quit trying. Even after they changed the fire team limit I just couldn’t be bothered.

I really wanted to give 343 the benefit of the doubt even though I had reservations about the micro transactions. I really wanted to like Warzone but in the end I just don’t feel like it’s a very good game mode. It was all very experimental and in my humble opinion many facets of it were nothing more than a way to facilitate micro transactions.

What really bothers me about it is how BTB got the shaft in order to accommodate Warzone. BTB was always my favorite and always felt to me like the truest Halo experience. To see it so underdone in Halo 5 really bothered me, especially since I really had nothing to play after I realized I just wasn’t going to like Warzone no matter how much I tried.

If BTB isn’t properly represented in Halo 6, I think I’m just gonna have to pass.

Just had a match where the enemy team camped us at one stronghold, trying to complete commendations no doubt. I absolutely hate it.

Oh and another match lost, to the exact same situation. Warzone is not fun anymore, only those who have no feelings for those in which they are destroying.

I checked my last 50 WZ games and I had 11 games that were under 250 points for one team. Out of the 11 games, 9 of them were losses and 2 of them were wins so not a bad ratio in that small sample.

The majority of the them were around six minutes or less and there were only two above the ten minute mark with one being twenty minutes which was a farm game. These games were before the fireteam restriction of 6 people though.

In my last 20 warzone games, 8/20 were 1000-250 or worse. Only 4/20 were 1000-800 or closer. Over the 20 games the average score of the loser was 463.4 That means in my last 20 warzone games, someone got outscored 2 to 1 on average. that’s not a contest, that’s a butt whipping. The problem with warzone is that you can be 8 minutes in, down 400-200, and you know you’ve lost. The enemy req snowball has started and you know you and your random teammates aren’t coming back, yet you also know the game has at least 10-12 minutes left. It’s not fun because it isn’t a contest.

Edit: I’d also add that the average time…17.7 minutes…so my last 20 games averaged 1000-463 and lasted 17 minutes. Not very close competition but still takes a long time.

Similar, but not the same; I’ve noticed WZA blowouts are more common the last week as well.

Defending your core room with an Ammo-Magnum, AR and grenade is difficult.
