Breakout feels like a slayer clone except when you die u stay dead until the round ends. How is it supposed to be the most “competitive game mode” when I get killed in the back by an Active Camo, or headshotted across the map with a DMR? THE problem is that Breakout still emphasizes map control and offers more powerful weapons on the map, just like Slayer. Honestly, this mode is too much like Slayer to be enjoyable.
How can we fix this you ask?
First, I suggest removing all powerups and other weapons from the mode, so you only have your SMG and Pistol. This would be a truly “competitive” game mode, where players will need to hone their aiming and communicate with their teams to win. Too many times have I died because one guy is picking our team off with a DMR. This will truly differentiate Breakout from Slayer, because this game mode will be super tense.
What are your opinions? Do you agree with me or do you have your own ideas to change Breakout?
I think your idea is more balanced but who would want to play that when you can just play tdm? I think one weekend they did Breakout but with shields and on regular arena maps… right? i though that was a lot better. Breakout as it is makes no sense, why would anyone want to play it over tdm or swat or whatever

Yes, Kevin Franklin came up with the idea when he was playing paintball. Considering he doesn’t work there anymore and his ideas usually don’t go over very well with the community, my guess is we won’t be seeing Breakout in H6.

Break out is some thing I would of expected the community to come up with not a featured game type. Though I’m no dissing it I enjoy it a little bit, though I don’t play it often cause I don’t get why it has its own maps when I enjoyed playing the normal maps in the break out game type.
