Wtf?

So I played 10 games of breakout and won 7 out of 10 and placed a silver 4?? Which leads to this question…does accuracy or k/d ratios factor into the csr ranking? I mean I’ve seen some other players k/d ratios and accuracy absolutely suck -Yoink- ( I won’t mention names) and they place in diamond and onyx.

What was the Rank/Division of the players that you played with and against?

The majority of them were unranked.

It is based on your previous rankings in the play list. You were ranked silver previously.

So I go from a silver and stay silver? Doesn’t make sense to me.

You’ve moved up from Silver 1 to Silver 4… Not exactly bad in terms of movement.

The weighted outcome of your placements is partially determined by the ranking of your opponents. So their previous season placing in accordance to your performance against them will affect your placing.

So for example say I rank up to a silver 6 or even a gold 1 before the new season begins, then when they do reset and I win 9 out of 10 matches, what would my rank go up to? How do I get to atleast platinum?

Happened to me as well, but with a group of friends. I carried the team in all matches then I only get ranked platinum 4 and they get ranked diamond+. It leaves me thinking that the ranking system is broken.

I know I’m atleast a platinum player but I usually get dragged down by players that either quit or suck.

There is no perfect answer as the ins-and-outs of placement matches are kept secret by 343i, but generally, if you perform well you will move up.

Your previous season’s performance weighs against your placement matches. Don’t expect to jump too high after your placements. Placement matches are an attempt to place you at a challenging divisional level. It’s up to you to improve yourself and climb up to higher divisions once you’ve placed.

If you go 10-0 and have never ranked before you’ll get platinum, going 10-0 while having been silver will probably net you just gold. How can you say you’re atleast a platinum player when you’ve never placed anywhere in platinum?
