The free trial period is over so now you have to pay to play on them.
It was a “free trial,” but in reality, Micorsoft and 343i messed up and listed it free by accident, and anyone who DLed it had it taken away today, EVEN THOUGH they originally said we could keep it.
IF you were one of the people who downloaded it for free (without having the map pass or LE game), then your access to the maps and playlist will have been removed. People without the pass or LE game were only able to use the maps for the trial period, which ended yesterday.

I downloaded it on Thursday last week…it hasnt even been more than a week since I had it and when I asked them they said for the people who bought the game before the 20th of Nov got to have it for free…now all of a sudden its a “Trial DLC”??? all my years of playing xbox and this is the first “Trial DLC” ive ever seen lmao. What a hack. And no I wont buy it because I know in 6 months ullbe able to get all the maps for half the price…last time I bought a map pack, it was for Battlefield 3 and 4 months later that 50$ map pack was combined with the game for only $40.00. so no I wont buy it. It sucks anyway…favors Big Team.

Actually they did, the same twitter (I think it was twitter) that said that “it was a fault on 343 and microsofts part and a glitch in the system grab it while you can” then the next day said “thank you for downloading the crimson map pack 7 day trail”
I think it is bs cause technically I paid for what it said on the download “crimson map pack” after all I did click confirm purchase so its my property which microsoft have stolen off of me

No, it never was your property, it never will be either. You got a license agreement which Microsoft has now revoked (and rightfully so). There never was any theft involved.
