i know they removed it to fix the small problems it had ( i thought it was a decent map!). is it really taking this long to fix? it seems like they just are choosing to not deal with it. youd think after all this time it would be back in the rotation. this game desperately needs maps/variety and i would think they would want to re-introduce this map asap. i like that map, i miss having more maps to play on.

I completely forgot about that map, I didn’t like it too much but that was at the beginning of the game now that I better I want to try and get that damage boost
It was removed due to excessiveness lots of gigantic swarms of spawn killing.
Loved the map, never had a problem with spawn killing on it.
Hope it comes back.
You can’t fix that map. It was just bad. So bad. I would rather play Overgrowth than Orion.
Pretty much with the DMR and BR being on one side of the map that ALSO had high vantage points it made matches there very fruitless.

Not a forged map.
Spawn camping? Never had that problem, may have been my only favorite map because of how even it was, well the location of the power weapons was horrible but still a good map.
I really liked that map.
As with all 343s faliures cough mcc cough they put minimal effort in and then abandon it

Free maps that either use pre-existing assets and a similar map layout to already included maps, or are Forged maps. Yeah, those sound like crap to me. Where is the legitimately new maps? Most of these remixes are basically the same as their origin map and, Forged maps do not count as new maps because anybody can forge a map.

Which pre-existing map had “a similar map layout” to Riptide?
Would you prefer nothing? A lot of game companies charge you for all additional content AND don’t include a powerful creation tool like Forge.
I guess some people will never be satisfied.
I like orion other than the spawns. Maybe it will be in our last free dlc lol
Other than the unfixable spawn killing in SWAT, the damage boost just encourage accidental suicides (which you get banned for), and the weapon placements were not balanced.
I’ve seen remixes of the pit and snowbound that blew me away that I’d prefer to see over Orion.
I’d rather have 343 introduce decent community maps instead over that one.

Omg can we quit with this bs already. Every remix we’ve gotten has played and felt completely different. If anything the remix maps they’ve released are just making nods to past experience. “I think I’ve seen that pillar before, huh. Wait when you walk past it it’s a whole new vantage point? Different weapons? Different artwork? How lazy…” Seriously sick of the nitpicky -Yoink-.
