What is going on with your dedicated servers? I lagged in every game I played over the weekend and the last two times I tried to play today I: crashed to dashboard, and the REQ system was down. Even when I do talk myself into giving this game a chance there are always issues. The audio when launching games is still buggy and hit or miss, the REQ system still consistently has problems, and games still end early because of server issues.
You have a game with microtransactions so sometimes these crashes cost your players real money (ie: losing boosts, REQs, etc), plus it is frustrating to ALL players when these issues are still prevalent 6+ months after launch.
I payed $60 bucks plus whatever I’ve spent (pissed away) on REQs and I feel like 20% of the games I play end in frustration (retreiving data, laggy games, unbalanced match making, etc), or just end because the server crashes. After that MCC nightmare I thought a fully working game would be a priority. It should be the number one priority but from what I’ve seen most energy goes towards pushing microtransactions (by swelling the REQ system with garbage skins and emblems, making limited time packs that cost an inordinate amount of RP compared to $$, and selling gold packs in bulk for $$ but not RP). You tried to convince us that the REQ system was purely a benefit, but I would argue that too much has been sacrificed for it (including Spartan customization and enjoyable gametypes). But hey, at least it’s helping to pay for that content that should have been here at launch. That’s not completely true since some of that content was made by the community (after forge finally launched).
I live in the USA so I guess I should be thankful that I can have a decent experience 80% of the time. I feel really bad for our friends across the pond.
343i you owe the fans (and the Halo IP) a better product than what we’ve seen so far, especially after the MCC missteps.
